This one of a kind sculptural pieces was created by fusing recycled sterling silver into the shape of a hummingbird.
The wings were created by fusing and carving directly into the silver.
I chose to design the wings in a way as to protest the feeling of “lightness” just as I saw it that day…. With the hummingbird flitting back and forth ~ it’s beautiful wings backlit by the sun.
The hummingbird is 2 inches in size while the sterling chain is 24inches with the ability to wear it shorter at 20-22inches
